Learn how the Dash Safe Slice Mandoline Chute Attachment Set helps you slice fruits and veggies faster and safer. Includes key features and usage tips.
Quick answer
The Dash Safe Slice Mandoline Chute Attachment Set guides fruits and vegetables through the mandoline for faster, more precise slicing while reducing the risk of cuts.
What's included and why it matters
The set comes with four pieces: an Ingredient Chute, an Ingredient Pusher, an Ingredient Container, and a Cleaning Brush. The chute and pusher work together to hold produce steady and push it across the blade, so your fingers stay clear. The container catches slices neatly, and the brush makes cleanup easier.
When the attachment set is most useful
If you slice vegetables often — for salads, stir-fries, or meal prep — the chute attachment speeds up the process and gives you consistent results. It's especially handy for long or round items like cucumbers, carrots, or zucchini that can be tricky to hold safely by hand.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the chute attachment fit other mandoline brands?
- No. The set is designed specifically for the Dash Safe Slice Mandoline and may not fit other brands. Always check compatibility before purchasing.
- How do I clean the chute and pusher?
- Rinse them under warm water after each use. The included Cleaning Brush helps remove food bits from crevices. They are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash only.
- Can I slice soft fruits like tomatoes or bananas with this attachment?
- Yes, but expect some mushiness. The chute and pusher work best with firmer produce. For very soft items, consider using a knife instead. For best results, stick to firm fruits and vegetables.
